We got a local bus for about half hour, then a 3 hour bus to Emai, then a 2 hour bus to the foot of the mountain. We booked into a monastry to sleep the night, thinking that we were at the top (reason being so we could see the sunset and sunrise) and realised we were only half way up. We tried to get a refund, but of course, she didnt understand. Besides, this monastry was like a barn, we would have had to sleep in the loft, it was freeeezing and no heating or nothing. We got our bags and continued our 3 hour trek, all up hill, Vibrams on foot! During part of the trek, we bumped into a gang of monkeys! They were running around wild, stealing food from people, and being a pain in the ass. Jodie got to hug one, or rather it jumped on her haha. Jodie was defo in her element!

We went through all the clouds on the bus, so now all we could see was the top of the clouds, the tops of a few other mountains, and pure clear blue skys, with the sun beating down on us, heaven! When we reached the top, the viewing was amazing, never could ever imagine it, and me writing about it, or the pictures i have, does it no justice what so ever. There is a sea of clouds, but they are beneath you. At the peak you eventually reach The Golden Summit, which is a massive golden buddhist statue. We took a few snaps then sat down watching the sunset drinking an extremly over priced beer, heaven! Once the sun was out of view, it was dark and cold, and our paid for monastry was miles away so we checked into a nearby hotel and hit the sack. We got up really again to watch the sunrise, as did loads of other people. When we eventually saw it, everyone started cheering and clapping, a bit like in Ibiza, only better im afraid! When the sun was fully visible we went back to the hostel and had these Chinese pot noodle things for breakfast and started walking back down again. The walk down being ALOT easier!
