However, having travelled a couple of hours we found ourselves driving past a pretty sweet looking lake. It was tipping the mid 30's and the thought of driving for another few hours was sounding less and less enticing.
In the end we decided to pull a sneaky 'rest day' and turned off at the next campground sign. Turns out this place (Lake Balaton) is quite popular with the locals and we quickly became familiar with the way of the European holiday maker....which basically means massive campgrounds filled with half naked tourists!
We spent the arvo easing by / in the lake.....a key call after a solid past few days on the tourist trail!!
