was an early start the next morning due to a thunderstorm rolling right across our heads.....we nearly crapped the days as a burst of lightening struck fairly close to our tent but we bunkered down and it past. Obviously up we cooked up a bit of breakie, packed the tent and headed into the Schwarzwald or Black Forest. You knew they were in the Forest as the roads became overhung with towering furs. We took the B500 (tourist trail) into the Forest popping out at the quaint German village of Schiltach....and coincidently the home to one of the premium bathware producers that Kirstys shop sells (Hansgrohe). After a Bockwurst for lunch Kirsty got some quality product research in Hansgrohe HQ / tap museum.

After we headed through the forest to Triberg home to two of the worlds largest Cuckoo Clocks....each claim to be the biggest! Spent circa 5mins in the 'House of A Thousand' clocks and felt a bit cuckoo for it! Kirsty locked in a bit of proper Black Forest Gateaux for afternoon tea and we set about searching for a campsite for the night. We found a sweet little spot tucked up in a valley surrounded by the forest and a few rogue deer.
