Okay, so women weren't harvested. Perhaps that was a bit misleading with the title. But this was a women's festival. And the recent harvest is what they are celebrating. This was my understanding though. Essentially, the women dress up and walk around putting red and yellow powered as a bindi on each other, and handing out candy and seeds. Also, offerings in the temple of the same candy and seeds to the gods are given. Here are some photos. Enjoy!
