What I did
I will keep this short as words can only do so much to describe the sight of Liberty, the famous toga wearing Statue that has welcomed immigrants to America for over 100years.
But I was thinking this will only be a few hours, but it took up a full 5hours after going through Ticket Pickup lines which I strongly recommend you do by purchasing the tickets online then pick them up. Got through that and the crowds were overwhelming, it was onto the Security Screening and then off for the Cruise across New York Harbour to Liberty Island.
We wandered around the Island, taking in the breath-taking scenerary of New York City and Ellis Island, Brooklyn, and ofcourse the Statue of Liberty.
After spending time with Liberty is was a hop, skip and jump to Ellis Island, the gateway to America for millions of Immigrants over the decades. We spent a solid 4hours there seeing the Processing Hall and also the Alcatraz Exhibition that has on display.
It was a day that was amazing, the photos will tell the story better than I can.
