1st day sightseeing

So after diving into the guest house i walked up and around the Khao san road wondering where and what everything was!Every ten steps i got stopped by people selling clothes,fake i.d's,tuk tuk drivers wanting to take me to the sights,fake sunglasses,shorts,fruit,massages,and "special shows"
I looked a complete tourist sat outside the steps of the T.A.T=thailands tourist info place with a map in my hand until a geezer came out and told me where to go and see.As im sitting there a Canadian girl called Rhea comes over who'd lived there for 5years but never seen the sights and asked if i wanted some company and to share the cost, so said sure and jumped in for my 1st tuk tuk ride to see the standing buddha,

lucky and black buddha,

and to walk to the top of the golden mount.

The drivers are mad,just like in a reliant robin going flat out round corners,bumper to bumper they were crazy!
After all that sightseeing it was time to hit the bars for the first time,so went into a couple-Chang was off the menu as it was a Sunday and not allowed to drink beer so sat drinking L.I ice tea,on my own for the first time in a bar thinking what the hell am i doing here!?
Anyway met a gang from Ipswich,rob,cath,claire,julie and mark and stayed up till 3am drinking cocktails and chatting to a Thai lad who kept trying to teach me Thai swear words and buying us all buckets of Sam-Song(whisky,soda,ice all in a beach bucket with straws!)
