Woke up with a bit of a hangover (surprise, surprise...) and popped down to the poolside to stake our claim on two well positioned sunbeds before hitting the adjacent restaurant for some stodge.

Vikki's breakfast arrived without tomatoes (how dare they - we need that Vitamin C!) and Paula's toastie was some rolled chicken flap and plastic cheese slapped between two bits of barely toasted bread. No matter, we had hangover bellies and we would just eat again in two hours...

We sunbathed and swam, staying comfortably close to amenities and when lunchtime rolled around we went to the neighbouring restaurant on the other side (just to mix it up a bit) for a Thai red curry and a Mussaman curry.

Vikki's curry was yellow when it arrived and she called the waitress over who remained bare-faced adamant that the curry was red! A strange exchange ensued where various waiters and staff members were looking in the bowl and laughing as Vikki repeated the obvious (that the yellow curry before her was a yellow curry...) as the woman insisted it was a red curry. What a pharse! We ate up begrudgingly and promised that we would not return to that place for food again! Being our last day this wasn't really much of a threat!

Not feeling very satisfied we returned to the pool to top up on the tan and Vikki found her place in the shallow end of the pool out of the glare of the sun having a good old chin wag to a Swedish couple she had met - when Paula looked over they were sharing photos of their dogs with her and were probably about to ask her to put her room keys in a bowl...

When a bunch of loud and fairly arrogant Essex boys showed up with their blonde big boobed bimbos in toe and set up camp next to us with drum and base blaring out over the pool and chucking the sunbed cushions into the water we decided it was time to leave although Paula had time to reflect that ten years previously she was probably just as loud and obnoxious...And Vikki, well, let's not get started...

We returned to the room to pack for our transit day to the Malaysian border tomorrow, ordered the strangest tasting pizza in the world from the funny shaped neck man down the street and watched chick flicks with a large bottle of Chang until we were sleepy enough to go to bed without worrying too much about how the border crossing woud pan out....
