Woke up with a stinking hangover so jumped in the pool to clear away the cobwebs! We decided that we should make a bit more of an effort to immerse ourselves in the culture of Africa without immersing ourselves so much in the local spirits.

We also decided that our breakfast commentary is probably not that interesting.

'Crammed Crust' anyone...?

We had the best intentions of going to play golf this morning but this was hastily replaced with pizza by the poolside - Tash 1 Paula 0.

Pizza arrived. $10. Soft dough. Sweaty potato wedges. Someone dunked their chicken in my BBQ sauce (meat eaters 1, vegetarians 0). Decided that a western chef needs to act as serious gourmet adviser to local pizzeria. Watched 'Madagascar' on the netbook (to the end finally) and then jumped back in the pool because the temperature soars in Malawi around 2-3pm in the afternoon.

More talk about food, heat and hangovers......sorry Mummy, but if you read any review about Lilongwe you will understand why.

Vikki was on cook group, jacket potatoes blah blah blah......food, fires.... most in bed by 9pm dreaming of passports being returned tomorrow.....

Settled down ourselves to watch 'Last King of Scotland' in the tent, we could possibly be annoying neighbours at this point with our sound turned on the darkness but it was early and we did try to turn it down.......... interesting watching the fim after being in Uganda, some things clicked, others not true to form but thats the movies.

Goodnight x
