We were woken up at 6am by Vikki's beacon face. She was so sunburnt that she looked like a world weary alcohlic with a big purple bulbous nose. Back on the truck heading to the campsite at the Equator, Vikki and I decided to pitch a tent on the line and experience instant weight loss again.

Sam and Kelly spent the morning comparing which one of the kids was most adorable from the school visit, the little boy in the jester outfit won. The truck stopped and Rob informed us that Alun had got off to buy bunting - he meant plantain??????????? not sure how you get the two words confused.

Shortly after we stopped off at the John Major Restaurant and Lodge in Mbarara and were served a culinary delight of goats intestine stew - yummmm, blurgh!!!!!!! not sure if Norma would approve!

Paula's new attachment / shadow was singing "Don't you wish your girlfriend was hot like me" which was followed by a lingering hug, Vikki was fuming!!!!!!!

Paula marvelled at a local construction company called 'Davis and Shirtliff'.

Simba = Lion
Chui = Leopard
Dumar = Cheetah

We arrived at the Equator and Vikki's cook group cooked the nicest meal so far (fritata with tomato and onion salsa and roasted squash). At this point Max announced that he would rather eat a chickens neck than raw onions. We then took ourselves off and danced on the Equator line with a couple of beers and then tried to get some sleep whilst the security guards phone disco was going off (they were armed with guns and bows & arrows so were reluctant to tell them to shut it!).
