Where I stayed
The Tree Motel
Sydney - Wollongong - Nowra - Batesmans Bay - Narooma
Leaving Sydney was as much of a pain in the arse as getting in. I got caught coming out of Kings Cross. An accident (or an 'incident' as displayed on the overhead electronic message board thingy) had me stuck for almost two hours in bottleneck traffic. This would've been twice as long if I'd have been on four wheels. So with my cruisy loose schedule shot I spent much of the remaining five hours blasting along the coastal road in darkness.
Charlie was stood outside the motel toking on a dart as I pulled in to the driveway. He arrived just minutes before, his jaunt from Melbourne taking almost nine hours! We're crippled, both of us.
Narooma, like so many incidental towns on the map was dead in the blink of an eye. We've just been lucky enough to score ourselves a schooner each down at the local watering hole. Not so lucky with dinner. Crisps and corn chips were the best we could get. Don't think I've had a bag of crisps for years. We're still starving.
Anyway tomorrow should see a bit of an upturn. If things go well, we're in for one hell of a journey. So I'll leave it there, we're just off to catch a possum..
