'Travelpodians' - Part I

Well this is a first - a Travelpod encounter! And may there be many more.

Following a countless stream of text messages at the last minute, I eventually met up with 'Dave and Veronica' from Canada - two fellow 'Travelpodians' who originally contacted me by email months ago while planning their trip to New Zealand.

As they were only staying in Queenstown for a night, the only way we could meet was for breakfast after I'd finished work, just before they left for the West Coast to take on the glaciers. So 'breakfast' we did, in the 'Gourmet Express' diner on Shotover Street. I'd just finished a twelve-hour shift and hadn't slept for nearly twenty hours so I was a bit, erm...slow (sorry guys). Conveniently though, the diner prides itself on supplying bottomless filter coffee with every breakfast, which was great for perking me up while we became acquainted (not so great for getting to sleep after I'd wished them well and fell in to bed with my eyes stretched open.)



So, to Dave and Veronica,

It was great to finally meet you both. Enjoy every minute of New Zealand and the rest of your trip (the plan sounds amazing by the way.) I look forward to hearing the stories!
