After tying up a few loose ends I went to meet the girls who finally made it in one piece this afternoon. It was great to see them, especially as it was going to be the last time for a couple of them. I've met some great people and made a lot of friends over the last few weeks and these guys are some of the good ones. Sinead and Traoine (pron. 'Trainer', aka 'Mannion') are both Irish, both as crazy, with a superb sense of humour that's had us all laughing hard. Alex is a diamond, got a real good heart. She's from Switzerland and doesn't speak the best English in the world which makes her cuter the more she gets it wrong. And Chicken. Known her from day one. Well what can I say? She's starting to come out of her shell? As quiet and shy as she is, she's got exactly the same sense of humour as the rest of us without the volume I guess. She's also probably the most laid-back of us all - happy to go along with any plans and generally happy as long as everyone else is. A perfect travelling companion. They all are in there own way and though it will be a sad time saying our goodbyes, it will also be great to share a bit more time with them first.

Tonight was the start. We caught up with a few beers and a load of giggles in the 'Bier Garten' at Warners next door, followed by a nice re-union meal in the Italian restaurant also next door on the other side. We'd been talking about our plans and itineraries, campervans and activities in the restaurant along with the sadness of one particular farewell tomorrow and then moved on to the Base bar for a few more beers. It was then that Sinead and Traoine made an odd and unusual disappearance for about twenty minutes while Chicken and I accompanied Alex inside and outside the bar every five minutes while she rolled up. Later on the celebrations really started when Sinead announced that she'd just postponed her flight for another seven days. What a night! It ended up a late one but we were all far too excited to care. Talk about 'spur of the moment', it looks like it's going to be the five of us for the next four days and the four of us for the next three. And that can only mean one thing - some great times ahead!
