Just a quick report of last night:-
Met up with, and enjoyed a very pleasant evening with good ole' Aunty J. It was originally planned for Wednesday evening, but I threw a spanner in the works by changing it after I had got the message from Nate about his birthday on Wednesday. Aunty J was as sweet as ever and we agreed on Thursday - Lovely!
So last night was spent with Mick 'n' Jack and a few beers. After meeting at Base, we went for a meal in the ever popular 'Asian Food Hall' where more often than not, I can be found sampling a new Thai dish or spicy Korean soup. Micky and I opted for Chinese, Jackie for Japanese, and we sat and tucked in to a good meal and a lot of laughs.
To follow, Jackie drove us over to Mission Bay to a Belgian Beer Cafe where Micky became instantly excited at the Belgian Beer 'Menu'. It didn't sound good at the time, but she talked me into trying a Belle-Vue cherry beer called 'Kriek'. It was actually really good! We sat outside the Belgian bar watching the world go by sharing stories and giggles while the fireworks showered the beach over the road.
It was a wonderful night with fantastic company. Thanks Aunty, you did us proud!
