Well its saturday morning and we are on our way to a town called Debrecen. It is about 130klms east and towards the Romanian border. We read on the internet that I can catch the train from here to Bucharest on Sunday afternoon, so that would give us a leisurely drive there plus stay overnight. The landscape was mostly flat, the fields covered in corn or grape vines.
Farming is a big part of life out here in these small villages, as well as handiwork, from carving to embroidery. All along the road in the small villages were flowers, potted plants, woven wicker baskets, embroidered blankets, and even big iron brewing pots for sale. Also plenty of flower arrangements for the upcoming 'Day of the Dead' which is what is celibrated here in Hungary (others call it Halloween) .
