We only had one night in Nanaimo, a smaller town north of Victoria. We explored a little on the first day, walking down by the harbour in to town. It's nowhere near as nice as Victoria, but we didn't see very much of it. After dark we saw some harbour seals messing about near the pier on our walk back home.

Second day we went for high tea by the harbour before taking a seaplane back to Vancouver airport (stayed over one night before our flight to Vegas). That was pretty random, decided it would be easier and more fun than taking the ferry back. Got some good views of Vancouver and Vancouver Island and it was smoother than expected too!

I want to go on a seaplane! No actually I would probably be crapping it the whole time, was it scary? Hope you are having fun in Vegas.

Nah, I thought it might be but it was smoother than a normal plane, though it was a bit shaky in the air. We landed on a river in Vancouver too so it's not like you're far from land. Wasn't that exciting but it was something new.
