What I did
Imagine, huge beautiful oak line streets with massive colonial houses. The people are friendly and the weather is ridiculous about 38 with the humidity each day.
We took lots of pictures, so this blog may be shorter,as the pictures speak louder than words.
We went to the #10 ranked beach in the USA, Beach Walker beach in Kiawah Island. Scott and I have been to many beaches and think it was my 2nd favourite. It was a long stretch of powder soft sand, clean, and very few people. The water is warn, the waves are perfect for me and there was no seaweed, or rocks. Lola loved it too, it was her first time in the waves and she loved jumping them. Mabel on the other hand is still getting her sea legs
The only bad thing about Charleston was I have been eaten by Chiggers. Google it, they are everywhere down here, but you can't see them. I am a big mosquito and chigger bite at this point. Chigger bites itch like a SOB!!
We met a man from here, named Earl. He was super friendly and loved talking to us about South Carolina. He confirmed that I had chigger bites. He also tells me in his strong southern accent, " I know y'all are from Canada, but how do I say this so as not to affend ya'll, but them chiggers like them private parts. So if you got to itch and y'all are in public, all's you got to say is, " I got chiggers" and folk will just say y'all do what you got ta do" I am not sure I will take Earl's advice on that one.
Today we are off to see plantations before we leave.
I will sign off now, but check out the photos and videos.
