Where I stayed
Parque Aiken del Sur
It is probably clear to anyone who read the last entry to understand that we were thrilled to get off the boat even if it was for an excursion that had a warning that stated "Note there is a two hour hike that covers a mile..." can we talk about a slow death.
Luckily for us and probably for our other shipmates our guide was great and the weather held to give us a great little walk in Patagonia. We spent the morning on the private reserve "Parque Aiken del Sur"...did I ever tell you the story of Sean and I going to the Clay Aiken fan club get together before his show in Vegas, if not ask me sometime. It was a nice little park and had a BBQ lunch included.
Now the last BBQ wasn't very good but today either our expectations have been lowered or they just do Argentine BBQ better in Chile! It was a really nice dinning room overlooking a grey lake surrounded by mountains and had a band, dancing girls, and Pisco Sours (a drink much like a bad margarita). Plus this time we actually got some meat, which was really good, with our meal, and of course the key ingredient to any Argentine BBQ a lot of wine!
