Kyoto is known for its mass number of Shrines and Temples throughout the city. Each one has a small purpose like protect this city block, or give me wealth, or was erected because of a good or bad event happened in someone's life. They are beautiful, old, peaceful but to tend to be crowded with tourists and expensive if you try to hit a lot of them.

So we checked out the ones around our hotel between the raindrops and enjoyed them thoroughly. We took some pictures of them and their surrounding gardens.
