The Best Travel Day Ever
At first I was expecting another rough travel day, as we had to get out of our first cab because he had no idea where he was going. This was incident was followed by us running around trying to find the correct bus station and metro station, but as we broke a sweat doing this I will count it as a workout (And we wonder why we are gaining weight)

Luckily for us this was not an omen of the rest of our travel day as during check in we heard those sweet words..."We have upgraded you." They decided to upgrade us both to business class for the flight to Tokyo. Awesome! Just what we needed a little good luck and a relaxing trip.

So we headed to the Business Class Lounge to get something to eat and hopefully work on the internet. Well we didn't get wireless access but did get freshly made noodles, cold drinks, dessert, and internet access. We boarded the plane and were escorted to the second floor of the Boeing 747, which was a first for both of us (first time in business class for Scott). We were served our sparkling wine and great food and thoroughly enjoyed our 2.5 hour flight (not long enough for us).

Office Daydreams
I often sat in my cube/hallway in the huge accounting room, which had no windows, and daydreamed of being at a park or something. Just to be able to relax and be outside. Well today we lived that dream of every office worker. We got up with no alarm, went to the park while others rushed to work. We walked around the lake and then headed back to get some breakfast. Once back in the room we read for awhile before taking a midmorning nap!

In the afternoon we took a walk and arrived at a tourist shopping area with fans, pictures, sake sets, and a Buddha mask (...oh that Birthday Celebration for John Nilson in Japan!). We then checked out the Senso-ji Temple that lies behind the shopping center. We took some pictures, but didn't spend a lot of time there, as we will be coming there for a Festival in a couple of weeks. On our way back we grabbed a dessert thing that people were lining up for since we got to the temple. They smelled great (its so hard to find baked goods in Asia) so we bought 10 of them. We were sadly disappointed to find out they were filled with Red Bean (For the last time Red Bean paste is NOT a dessert!). We purchased some Sushi from the local store to watch out Red Bean paste taste, and went to Seven Eleven to buy some Beer, as sushi isn't the same without it, and was shocked to find out they didn't sell any alcohol. You can buy beer from a vending machine on the street but not at 7-11, what is going on in this Country?

This beer craziness continued as we hit Tokyo's big bar area called Roppongi. We walked out a while, so the Tokyo Tower all light up and decided to get a beer. As there were many strip clubs, high-end clubs, etc. we decided to hit the local English pub for some beers. It was perfect with Guinness and Bass on tap and normal bar food. It did hurt when Happy Hour (6 bucks a pint) was over and we paid $9.30 per pint!

But overall its still a day I used to dream about when I was working. Hang out some random Wednesday and go to the park, read, sleep, and have a couple of beers.
