The city that made us take this cruise, St. Petersburg. We spent two full days here and we signed up for the biggest tour - 9.5 hours each day! Since we're young and wanted to capture all of St. Petersburg, we also signed up to go to a ballet the first night we were there, after all our sightseeing. We started at 7:15 on July 18 and made our way thru the major sights in St. Petersburg starting with Peterhof Palace, which is on 300 acres just outside of town and has hundreds of fountains on its grounds. We also visited Yusupov Palace and saw the wax figures of Rasputin and the Czars son sitting at the table where Rasputin was assassinated.
