Time to drive home. But again, we took our time. The internet was working fast so I uploaded so pics. Then I drove to the casino to have their "epic" buffet. It was one of the largest breakfast spreads I've ever seen. Just wished I could have had a little of everything but it was too much. I had at least half of what they offered and I had too much. But I knew I could go through the day without another meal until we got home. After that epic buffet we packed up the RV and got out at 10:00.

We drove through northern Mississippi on US 78. One of these decades it is suppose to be Interstate 22 but who knows when that will be. The drive was nice and easy. After a few hours we were in Alabama. Pooh wanted some lunch but there were no rest areas on this road. So we check out where the Wal Marts were. Since I was driving I had Pooh do all the research and put it in the GPS. So we were off to the town of Jasper. The GPS took me down some really small roads with a ton of bumps. Soon we heard what sounded like a plastic bag on the truck somewhere flopping around. Soon we reached the spot where the WM was supposed to be and all that was there was a little gravel lot. So, now to find the real spot of the Wal Mart. Pooh got out to check out where the bag noise was coming from.

Pooh then said, “need to get out.” So I got out and saw what was making the flopping sound – the RV tire had blown and was torn to shreds. Ouch – it was bad. It was so low I could not get the jack under the axle to change the tire. So we called our emergency service so they could send out some help. Unfortunately, it took them over an hour to get to our spot since they came from Birmingham. I just hope nothing else tore up. They came and put on the spare and we were on our way. I did put the shredded tire in the back of the truck.

We made one more stop for gas and then drove straight home. Due to the small problem we did not get home until 9:30 and had to park the RV in the dark – though I did it on the first try. So after two months on the road we are home and back to reality. We did get a new puppy and a fish to welcome us. What a trip we had – great places to see in the southwest and I hope to go back for more sometime in the future.
