We left around 8:00 on Sat.morning. We made one bathroom/gas stop in Indiana, and one stop in Kentucky.  We made ham sandwiches out of the cooler, had our own drinks and snacks and were on our way.  We had a much longer way to go in Tennessee, so we took two stops there.  Georgia is by far the longest state of them all.  In fact, we had about seven hours of driving in Indiana, Kentucky, and Tennessee.  Then when we got to Georgia we were only about half way there!  In Atlanta we had a decision to make.  The phone showed that there was stopped traffic through town.  So we decided to take the loop around the west part of the city.  Then we cut back in using I-20.  Actually the bigger hold up was after Atlanta near the exit of the outlet mall.  That was slow going for about a half hour.  We decided to break up the trip a little by using a Longhorn Steakhouse giftcard that we had.  So we used Miles' phone to look up where the next restaurant was.  We ate just outside Macon, and drove on.  My around 8:30-9:00 at night we made it to the intersection of I-16 and I-95.  We had picked up a hotel coupon booklet and found one that was a pretty good deal.  When we got there to check in I was pretty annoyed because they did not was to accept the coupon because it was a "special event"  The special event was St. Patricks day.  This was pretty irritating because it was March 19th.  We bartered a little and finally arrived at an acceptable amount.  We walked over to Sonic and I got a grape slushy, and we settled in watching a little bit of March Madness Basketball.
