Where I stayed
Wyoming
Rock Springs
My flight was at 6:20 am. Luke was taking me to the airport since Miles was already in Colorado. the airport was very crowded. My flight did not include baggage so right off the bat I had to pay $20 for my bag. The security line was very long so I didn't have to wait at all when I got to the gate. Someone was already in my seat, so instead of making a big deal, I just asked them which seat they were supposed to be in and took their seat. The flight was only one hour to Milwakee. I had a long layover, but was able to find a couch, and take a nap setting the alarm so I wouldn't forget the next flight. I had a window seat, but the other guys were nice about getting up when I had to go to the bathroom. We landed in Denver on time, but there was a long walk, a tram ride, and more walking before I met up with Miles. We drove to Cheyenne, Wyoming as our first stop. In the book 1000 Places to see Before You Die it suggested to visit the Frontier Days, which just so happened to be going on. We checked out the state capital building, the stagecoach trail, and went to the depot. We didn't go to the actual rodeo because it was rather expensive. Next we stopped in Laraie to see the University of Wyoming. It was pretty neat and a very spread out campus. We stopped at a fwe other roadside attractions, but made it all the way to Rock Springs Wyoming. We checked in at a hotel (the last real bed we would see for quite a few days) and went to Applebee's to eat. It was a long day and sleep came quickly.
