The generator kicked on at 3:00 am but it sounded like our truck.  I got up to use the bathroom and Ernie and Marlene were already awake and had taken down their tent.  Unfortunately, we did not leave early, but at 5:08 am we got on the road.  I tried to sleep as much as possible and woke up at 7:30, then again for breakfast around 8:30.  Miles and I got "doughnuts" for breakfast but they were different from ours.  I was experiencing bathroom issues still so I spent most of my time in the bathroom.  Them we stopped for gas which took forever!  We had to stock up because we aren't going to be able to get gas in Malawi.  We got over 200 liters for 556,000 TSH. Wow, that sure sounds like a lot of money.  I tried reading the paper but ended up sleeping some more.  Woke up at a little after 11:00 as we went through a weigh bridge.  Kioko jumped out ang bought some watermelon.  A mountain chain is now visible on out left. We went though Morogoro which seened to be a fairly large town.  Then we drove through Mikumi National Park.  There had been recent brush fires.  We saw some yellow babboons, then a few herds of impala, a larger group far off the road.  The we saw 5 elephants and several giraffes, then zebra, then more giraffe and impala.  The animals kept coming and it helped break up the trip since we have been on the road for 8 hours already. We stopped and made our picnic lunch at a place called Genesis Hotel and Snake Park. We had vegetable, peanut butter, watermelon and I got a banana.  We bought Fanta so we could have a cold drink.  We did our dishes and got back on the road.  185 km left to Iringa.  Right away we had to pass through a weigh station.  These weigh stations are a pain in the butt.  The Udzungwa Mountains were on our left and on our right.  Then we had to Ruaha River flowing beside us which is apparently a famous river.  The trip notes say Iringa and Victor has been talking about Iringa, then when we reach Iringa he said, the farmhouse where we are staying is only 1.5 more hours.  I was )#@&)@# off!  This is truly the day that never ends.  I went back to sleep, which I find to be the best way to help pass time.  Miles read Heat Wave and I read a little of Miles' Dean Koonz book.  We FINALLY arrive.  We set up our tents and start cooking.  We went and checked out the bar.  It is too bad that we didn't get here in the light.  We got a chocolate brownie then prepared for dinner.  I had a nice hot shower which helped.  The water for the showers was warmed in holding tanks that get heated by an open fire that a worker is adding wood to.  Dinner was rice, beef chunks, peppers, and eggplant.  We did the dishes, then went to bed by 9:45.
