It was a long day of school because students start to shut down before any break.  We were a little nervous if we would make our 6:15 flight, so Miles left about 15 minutes early and I left about 5 minutes early. We already had our bags packed and in the car, and I had called Subway and they had a foot long sandwich waiting for us.  Miles was actually a little ahead of me so he picked up the sandwich and we were ready to go.  There was no traffic at all and we made really good time.  The new ramp was open at 74 and 465 and it was a bit confusing but we easily got onto 465.  We parked far away at the airport, and got on a shuttle.  I was shocked when Maribeth Holland from school got on the same shuttle.  I didn't even know she was going somewhere on break, and then there she was, going to Tampa, Florida.  There were no security lines so we actually had some time to wait at the gate.  We were on the very back row of seats so we couldn't lay our seat back.  Even though the flight was almost 4 hours long, we landed in Phoenix about 7:00 because of the three hour time change.  
    We took a shuttle bus to the rental car facility.  When we got there the rental car lady pretty much ticked me off.  The rental was more than we thought it was going to be, and she kept acting like we had to have a better car to be able to drive to the Grand Canyon.  She said we would not have power locks or windows etc.  When we got down to the car it was actually a very nice Toyota Yaris.  We stopped at Burger King to get a sandwich, then continued on to the hotel.  We checked in and it was pretty late so we went to bed.
