We got up, picked up camp, went to the pay showers, and started on our way towards New Hampshire. We drove through Bangor, Maine then got on highway 2.  This was a small but nice highway that winded and weaved its way west towards New Hampshire.  We stopped at the Wal-mart in Mexico Maine, and ate lunch out of the cooler.  We stopped at a little waterfall pull off right in town, then continued on our way.  When we crossed the state line we stopped at an information center and it was on into Gorham.  Apparently they were having a big 4th of July thing, so the traffic was totally ridiculous.  Finally we made it to Moose Brooke State Park, picked our campsite, set up the tent then started on a bike ride.  We rode on a rail trail and saw tons of  moose tracks, but it was slow going because it was loose gravel.  Then we rode our bike into Gorham, and stopped at McDonalds for dinner.  We rode, mostly uphill back to the campgrounds and got almost 8 miles on the bike.  Then we took off to an area north of Berlin, NH called the 13 miles woods to try and see moose.  Unfortunately we didn't have any luck but it was good scenery.  When we got back it was time for bed. It was a good travel day!
