It was a good pack up day. No rain. We packed and walked to the cafe near the caravan park for breakfast over looking the beach. What a nice way to start the last part of our journey home today.
After breakfast we all got in the car one last time and headed home. The kids had their MP3 players on while Tony and I chatted about all aspects of our trip.
We were excited to drive over the QLD border we were not far from home now.
Everything was becoming very familiar.
Being the first day of the school holidays the traffic was very slow and congested in parts especially around Brisbane.
The kids were very excited as we drove into our street.
Our friends who had rented our house had left it beautifully clean and tidy although that did not last.
It is a strange feeling walking into your home after being away for so long. It is sooooo big. There are way too many cupboards and way too much stuff to bring in. It will take me a month to get organised.
It was nice seeing the people who live in our street. They all welcomed us home.
Anyway the kids are sound asleep in their own rooms. We wondered how they would go. So far so good.
It is very odd to be finishing now but I guess there is not much more to say.
We have had a great trip and when this is printed we will be able to look back and remember what we have done and all the amazing places we have been.
