HI EVERYBODY!

I know that in the last blog I told you all that I would explain why it is seeming to take me so long to upload blogs. Before I begin the story, let me first give a big THANK YOU to all of you for still staying on board and for still checking this regularly. If you check this regularly and are not yet on the email updates list (you get an email for every time I upload a new blog) then send me an email and I will add you!

So.....playing on the title of the blog, I have been spending the past 3-4 months back to planning for the future. As an International School teacher, this is quite a common occurrence to do every other year since teaching contracts are usually only 2 years. So even though it seems like I just got finished planning for the future with a teaching job overseas, its time to do it again.

My time in Bangkok has been incredible. A LOT(!) of things have happened in the past 19 months. Some things that I expected to happen, and some things that totally caught me off guard. But through it all, I have complete faith that it is all part of God's amazing plan. And that is what I continue to put my trust in. So after much research, many sleepless nights, and countless hours of prayer, I have decided to go back to college to get my Ph.D. in Social Studies Education. It has always been a dream of mine, and now is certainly the best time in my life to pursue that. After extensive research, I have determined that the best schools that fit my research interests and career goals are Stanford, Missouri, Iowa, and Florida. I have applied to all 4 and have so far been accepted by 3/4 (still waiting on Stanford....c'mon!). I was lucky enough to get my acceptance letter from the University of Iowa before I returned home to America for Christmas, so me and the folks decided to take a trip there to check out the campus and meet with my potential advisor. This is what this blog is all about.

If you have every wondered what the vast majestic landscape of Iowa looks like in Winter, then you will LOVE this blog. Haha. A stark contrast to the sounds and sights of Thailand. For all of you seekers of that, I just returned from a trip to Chiang Mai, and will have that blog and pictures posted shortly.

Thank you all again for all your support and for reading this blog. Now that I can finally add a return date to this blog, I can confidently say that I will see you all soon! God bless you all to the fullest!
