Well ... did you all thing we had been kidnapped or something, seeing there has been such a long break??  We went on our cruise and the internet costs were more than the cruise!!!   So we had to wait.  It is difficult now to remember things ... but I will try, and also pretend that I am writing each day!

After we had eaten our fill at our delicious free breakfast (with Mickey Mouse head waffles), we decided to go to the Universal Studios.  This isn't part of Disney, so we had to venture out on the "proper" roads to get to it.  I am an awesome on the wrong side of the road driver!!! (With Ash to tell me to keep left, go into the far lane, etc etc!!), but we made it, and were interested to see another park to Disney.  Disney is such a slick operation, and everything is done so professionally.   Anyway, Universal is just as good, but the huge benefit was that we were able to buy "Express tickets" for $20.   This entitled us to queue jump for every ride in the park once.   We could just walk past all the people who had been queueing for an hour, and go straight to the front.

We got absolutely saturated on one of the ride, called Dudley Doo-rite (or however you spell it!!).   You would think that knowing Dudley it wouldn't have been a very scary ride ... but phew ... we were airborne a few times.   And wet!!   At the end of the ride there are these "guns" of water that shoot water at you and drench you even more.  We finished with the ride, and then went onto the bridge to watch the ride, and saw that you can pay 25c and shoot the people in the cars, so that is how we got so drenched ... not from the ride, but from people on the bridge wetting us!!!   We were still wet when we got home, and in fact the next morning, had to put Ash's denims on the car to dry them out completely.    Luckily we have not had flu ... but only hay fever, so that didn't exacerbate it!!!    Poor old Ash struggled in Orlando with the hayfever, so we had to go and buy her some muti to try and fix it.

On one of the roller coaster rides, Ash's camera fell out of her pocket onto the floor of the cab, and she kicked it over onto the tracks.   As the ride went off, we cringed, waiting for the sound of breaking camera, but luckily it had fallen down between the tracks.   We waited on the side of the ride, for the girl to get a "claw" thing to pick up the camera.   Ash was so lucky!!    We have been much more careful since then!

Universal is made up of two parks, with one much more rides etc.   Ash went on a few rides on her own, as by then I was quite roller-coasted out, and felt I had done very well with the ones I had been to!!! (Seeing I hate roller coasters!!)

The park finished at 6, as a big car hire company had hired it for the evening.  We felt a bit ripped off, as it normally closed at 8, but luckily felt as if we had seen enough, so were quite excited to get home early.   We bought Chinese for supper, and yipee  ... at last I ate Chinese out of one of those boxes!!   Just like in the movies!!
