My hayfever seems to have transferred onto Ash!!   I am sure mine was not flu, as it came on very suddenly when we were sitting on a double decker bus next to a Bauhinia Tree, and I had my flu jauva, and also I did not feel sick ... just had a blocked nose, sore chest, sore throat etc etc!!!   (As you do with hay fever!!!)   Anyway, now she is feeling crook and keeps blaming me ... (although I only had hay fever!!!!    That is my story and I am sticking to it!!!)

Anyway, we got up yesterday ... me sprightly and Ash grumpily sick,  (She said not grumpily ... just sick)    Anyway, had our delicious brekkie again .... and left for Disney's Magic Kingdom.    Whoo Hoo!!   Phew ... what an operation.  By the time we had parked, we still had about a mile and a half to get there, so we went by a little shuttle train, and then by ferry (could have gone monorail).   Anyway, we arrived with millions others, and spent the day walking around, queueing and going on rides.    There is a system called "Fast pass" and you can get one every two hours.   This entitles you to just by-pass the line, and get on first.    We took advantage of two of those, and saved ourselves a 100 minute wait at the one Splash Mountain, where you come down at a 90 degree (felt like it) into water (we were in a log).    Then on a roller coaster on a mountain thing.

As you know I hate roller coasters, but thought I would just suck it up and go with Ash, as she loves them.   Well ... she owes me biggggg time now!!!   One of the rides was called Space Mountain.   You never actually know what you are getting yourself in for, as you just line up for some ride.    This was a roller coaster that went in almost pitch dark (There were a few stars sprinkled around on the roof making you think you were in space).   It was the most horrific ride, and even Ash admits (now that it is over!!!) that is was one of her worst!!!    We sat on our own in little space pod things, and with it being dark you never knew what was going to happen.    We dropped, and flew and Ash said she felt airborne a fair few times herself!!!   She got back in tears of laughter and could hardly breathe from laughing so much at my screaming in uncontrolled agony!!!  (She said she thinks hers was also from 'guilty' laughing, as we hurtled down each slope!!!   Phew ... what an experience!! I am sure we should have got a certificate at the end saying "I survived Space Mountain!!!"    Hopefully today at Universal I will be more discerning at what I am getting myself in for!!

We were just about to leave, when Ash realised we hadn't seen the Princesses, so off we went for an hour wait to have our pics taken with sleeping beauty, Belle and Cinderella!!!     My word ... what I do for Ash!!!   I wish we could put the pics on .... check back later.      Ash laughed when Cinderella asked where she was and she said Australia.   Cinderella looked impressed and said "Does your pumpkin float???"   Ha Ha

We eventually got home at 11 (without getting lost), so now we think it is time to go, as we now know all the back roads!!!

We had fun rides, Pirates of the Caribbean, Lilo and Stitch, Buzz Lightyear (I slaughtered Ash in the shooting of aliens!), shook hands with Mickey Mouse and hugged Minnie!!, and all in all had a good day.

Everyone thinks we are from England!!! Must have changed our accents !!   Ha Ha!!

Off to Universal Studio Park now.

Bye

wow, what fun
I agree with Gail you are having such fun and your diary is great. Sure you could sell it to a travel magazine. Should be compulsory reading for all who want to 'do' America on a hamburger and a free breakfast a day....not forgetting the expensiove taxi rides.

When I went to Disney Land I also went on the log water shoot but didn't do your space shuttle thing. My best though was the dolls. - showing my age.

Didn't like Epcot too much though as I much preferred Mickey Mouse.

Am sure you will love Universal Studios

stay well or at least get well

Dad
