Had another leisurely start to the morning.   Ash and my schedules seem to be coping.  She is an owl and I am a sparrow!!  But we just watch TV, and luckily the other one's sleep doesn't seem to be disturbed.  If I wake up too early, I just listen to the radio with my earphones.

We first went to the Hollywood museum which is just down the road, and saw all costumes and stage props from movies.   There were Dorothy's red shoes, Hannibal Lecter's mask, Nicole Kidman's teeeeeeny waisted costume from Moulin Rouge ... oh my gosh, it was so teeny that no wonder she broke her ribs!!    There were lots of other very interesting things there, but we couldn't take our cameras in, so we have no proof that we were there!!!

We then got onto the hop on hop off bus, and took a tour of LA again ... actually only Hollywood and Beverley Hills, and got off at the Farmers market where we had lunch.   It was a place where you chose your food and then they weighed it and you paid for the weight.   It made us darn sure that our eyes were not bigger than our tummies.  It was a sweltering hot day, (100 deg .... whatever that means .... it was darn hot!!! ) so we drank lots of coke.   We then went over to this shop we have discovered which draws us like a magnet called Ross'   It has lots of clothes at very good prices.    Luckily lots of Americans are my size (Ha Ha!!), so it is unusual to have so many clothes for me to choose from!!    We went and had a squiz at an American K-Mart, and then just wandered around a few shops until our bus came along.

It is so funny here as everyone walks around with their little dogs.   They have these little midget rats on leads or in their arms ... just like we see Paris Hilton with hers.   Even some really big guys have these little rats skipping along next to them.

RETRACTION :   Ash asked me to set the record straight..... it was not Sally Field that smiled at her, but "Kevin"!!!    Sorry for that one!!!!   Sally Field was too busy checking that she wasn't going to stand on our feet, which was how close to them we were!!!   As you all know ... I am a professional groupie!!!

Tomorrow is our last day in LA.   We have lots to do ... haven't even been to downtown LA.   Will have to give that a miss and do it next time!!!   We want to go to Paramount studios (if we can), and also have the free tour of the Kodak theatre, and the walk of fame from our booklet thing that we bought).    So much to do and so little time.

I just wish we could put photos in. (We have taken stacks here in LA)   I go and check in internet cafe's but haven't seen a USB port yet!!   Perhaps in Orlando.

good afternoon
Hi gals,

Loved your comments.

You are certainly having fun. I seem to recall going to Universal Studios and finding it a highlight but maybe Paramount has taken over. I likes Univer5sal as we had a ll the sets top walk through and we saw screenings of star wars, cowboys fighting and falling off roofs and wonderful performing dogs etc.

Lindy and Tom got back last night and come for supper tonight We are having rabbit. Ugh you will say but I say fan bloomin tastic.

Doing quite a bit of woodwork and using your chem lab face masks, thank you. There was a lot of jarra off cuts which although very difficult to cut to an even size was too good to lose as jarra is more like hen's teeth nowadays.

See you fly to Orlando tomorrow. You will like it but its tiring. However I loved Disney World with all the luna park type rides only better.

Must go - love keeping in touch

as ever

dad
