Then we drove up what is called Pacific Coast Highway, though nothing like PCH in CA. We had lunch at a place that is reputed to be the Best Fish and Chips on the North Island, if not New Zealand. It WAS good!
We got to Auckland in time to get to the Museum. We spent an hour and half (not enough time) and got to see an amazing exhibit of Pacific Culture Artifacts. I could have spent a day there. When it closed we walked in the gardens and parklands surrounding the museum and had a very pleasant time.
After a Thai dinner in the Parnell section of Auckland, we have returned to our hotel and will prepare for our long flights tomorrow. Home soon. Sad to say goodbye to new Zealand- this is an AWESOME country!
