After a brief nap, we got back on the road around 5:45 am. Another mishap...motorcycle boots go flying out the back of the truck. Thank you to the truck driver in Uvalde, Texas who flagged us down! We watched the sun rise as we traveled through west Texas. We arrived in Alpine, Texas in time for lunch with our aunt and uncle, John and Betty, who live in Fort Davis, Texas. We checked the back of the truck....boots gone again and for good. Seems shopping will be necessary when we reach San Diego. Back on the road!

I hope that shopping included a bag for the boots and a stout piece of rope! ;)
