Saturday, March 12 - Today we went to the Hope Town Harbor Lodge at noon for an all you can eat Crawdad Festival with entertainment by Brown Tip. He is the lead in a Rake 'n Scrape band and he and another band member play Ace Hardware saws and sing. Brown Tip also runs a boat cleaning business. He comes to you at anchor or in a dock and services Marsh Harbor, Hope Town and Man-o-War Cay. They played next to the pool overlooking the ocean and they rocked! Chad & Julie, Mercedes & Dale and Denny & I danced for a while to some great Bahamian music. The crawdads were easy to eat, you bite the tail and suck the head! Denny had two bowls full and washed them down with Italian beer (Peroni). Brown Tip had to leave at 3:30 pm to catch the ferry back to Marsh Harbor where he was playing another gig. These two guys had such boundless energy and it was contagious. The dance floor was always full. On the way back to the boat we tied the dingy up to the grocery store's dock and picked up a few things then headed back to Savage.
