Well everyone, I'd love to tell you that we are sitting here in our bathing suits drinking margaritas, but the truth is, this is the coldest day on record for the state of Florida EVER! We stayed anchored in Lake Worth for 7 days and yesterday decided to come back to the Harborage Marina in Stuart, only 28 miles north. The winds have been strong and out of the N, NE or NW ever since we left on Dec. 1 and the long range forecast is for the same right thru Christmas Eve. While motoring in the ICW yesterday, many sailors were on the VHF radio alerting other boaters about all the Manatees that were being spotted heading for warmer waters. We saw one just off our port side breach out of the water for air. We developed outboard engine problems and couldn't use the dingy at anchor. Paul & Linda were kind enough to transport us to shore. So we ordered a new fuel pump and it's going to be delivered to the Harborage office and hopefully that's the problem. Not sure how long we'll be here, but at least til Christmas. This coming Monday it's going down to 31 degrees. Our space heater is getting a work out! Have a Merry Christmas and we'll be in touch.
