I am translating all my thoughts in my head from english to french, I fall asleep conjugating french verbs, when I brush my teeth I try to pronounce the french errrrr accent..haha. I am a little bit overwhelmed, but not discouraged! I am actually more motivated to learn then I have ever been! I have been carrying my french-english dictionary with me everywhere. On Tuesday the school took us on a trip to the United Nations building in Geneva. On Wednesday a bunch of us went to a pool in Geneva and then I went and walked down by the lake with a couple friends and took pictures. And yesterday we did not have any classes in the morning and we left to spend the day in the city of Lyon. The city was originally Roman and so we visited the roman ruins and walked to the top of the hill and saw a beautiful cathedral. Lyon's geography is dominated by the Rhone and Saone rivers that converge to the south of the historic city center forming a peninsula between two large hills one to the west and one to the north of the city center. Lyon was historically know as an important area for the production of silk and in modern times has developed a reputation as the capital of gastronomy in France. It was a fun but exhausting day! And that was my week! Very full and busy! I am walking everywhere! Oh I forgot the most important piece of information for any that were not aware..I cut off my hair! Let me think..that was Monday..there was a small hair salon in Collonges and the hair stylist spoke a little little bit of english and I spoke a little little bit of french, so it was a fun conversation!
