Today we headed 30km south west of Buon Ma Thuot (boo-maa-tour) to visit Dray Sap Falls, worth the trip even though its dry season so the falls are at their lightest flow.
Then had to backtrack through Buon Ma Thuot and go 50km south east to Lak Lake where we stayed the night.
Lak Lake is a holiday destination for wealthier vietnamese, the cheapest hotel the Lak Resort is $25 a night, a splurge for me. I was a little disapointed that the floating restaurant lonely planet recommended and the resort still advertised at their reception seems to have disolved into the water but at least the individual villas on the waters edge were peaseful and had soft pillows (a first). Near the lake resort is a traditional Mnong village where tourists can sleep on mats in a longhouse for $5 but I opted just to visit during the day, I'm not into outdoor toilets so much these days.
