Dinner and a show...

Tonight was set to be a great night. Dinner at nice restaurant south of the Arno and a concert at Theatro Verdi by the Duomo. Dinner was standard Italian fare served in by a friendly wait staff. In fact they were so friendly they wanted to take a picture. The picture sort of looks like I'm doing an impression of Napolean, don't ask me why.



After dinner I met Steve, my good friend who I met here on the program, at the theatre where his house mother had reserved us seats for a concert featuring a very famous Italian pianist whose name escapes me at this moment. Here is Steve and I at intermission.



The concert hall was magnificently decorated and the encore lasted for half an hour. It was a wonderful night with great music and great company.
