Well, last weekend I finally got the chance to sleep in, which was SO nice! After being here for 2 weeks I also got around to doing my laundry. The washer and dryer are on the complete opposite side of the manor, so I had to lug my laundry way over there. Also, I had no idea what the buttons meant, but my clothes turned out normal so I guess I did okay. I watched some movies on Friday night, went to the pub on Saturday night and TRIED to fit in some homework between all that. OH and I got an awesome package from my friend Courtney!

Tuesday was Burns Night, a Scottish holiday, in The Bistro. There was lots of music (including the bagpipe of course) and poetry. They also served haggis to eat, which actually didn’t taste bad… it just tasted kind of like a spicy hamburger. I didn’t know and didn’t want to know what it was before I ate it, I just was told that it was something disgusting. After eating it I learned that it was made of sheep heart, liver and lungs, wrapped in sheep intestines. Yum yum!

Wednesday we had a field trip to Lincoln for our British Studies class. It was fun and interesting for the most part, except it was cold and rainy. We had a Castle, Cathedral, and Romans tour, as well as time to wander about town where I found an art museum and some cool candy shops. It is a really cute town with cobble stone streets and little shops everywhere. On my way home I rode in a double decker! Also, we had fire alarm #4.

Now I’m off to Scotland for the weekend! My first independent trip, wish me luck!
