Yesterday, after class, I went in search of the brightly colored houses that are on the tour books and postcards.  For some reason, I assumed they were somewhere along a series of lakes.  So I walked...in the wrong direction from the lakes...and then in the right direction.  Then I walked some more along the lakes.  Basically, I walked across half of the city following these lakes before realizing that the houses were most likely on some other body of water like...let's say...the ocean.

Luckily, after I hit the end of the lakes, I also hit my bus line.  By this point I decided to walk the rest of the way home.  Since I walked for about 2 hours and didn't really see anything of interest, I went to the ice cream place and it was amaaazing.  It was a cross between gelato and ice cream in a waffle cone.

Today, I also got kind of lost getting to class.  I usually take bus 14.  After missing the bus by 10 seconds, I waited for the next one which supposedly comes every 10 minutes.  However, the bus seems to have disappeared.  Finally I had to take the 1A or I was going to be late to class.  From 1A you have to transfer to the trains and take them one stop to Norreport station.

As I was rushing, I realized that most lines went between Osterport and Norroport but I couldn't figure out how you could tell which way a line was running.  Naturally I picked the wrong one and headed in the opposite direction before transferring off and turning around.

After all of this, I only ended up 5 minutes late for my class!  Although I never did find out how to tell which way a line is running.  That also marks probably the 3rd time in my life I've ever been late to class.

Tomorrow I have the day off and am going to Tivoli to ride all the rides before it closes.  I'm also going the see the H.C. Andersen fairy tale, the Tinderbox, done as a pantomime for my Andersen class.
