hello, this is first blog ive had to make myself do! not because nothing has happened its just everything is a bit normal for me now so i have less to be amazed by!

So this week ive been planning a lot of the signs around the centre, the ones we have at the moment are really old and arent too great so i have to make one for plants, wildlife around the centre and the animals in the enclosure. Its going well, not much to comment on really!

We also released the bushbaby two days ago so ive been tracking that. this involves walking with a big aerial (spelling!?) and a box and a thing of chopped fruit across a river and up a hill. i have to do a croc check before i cross the river and if any are nearby i dont do it. they didnt have to persuade me. but the times ive been it was fine i got the the tree we released it in but the closest i got to tracking was pointing it at the tree and 'yep its there somewhere', i have no idea how we will get the collar off! but if its in a tree at least its not been nibbled by s hyena, so thats good! i had to throw the food into the box we nailed to the tree and failed miserably, forest floor now covered in fruit and hard boiled egg.

Today i was a thing called IWAM bazaar which is a collection of local ex-pat women who run businesses and a few charities (us) setting up stalls and selling stuff. was good, we made sold a lot. incluing some adoption packs for the animals! if you would like to adopt an animal for the year for the cost of 4800Mk (about 18 pounds) please email me! you get a info pack and updates about the animal, which it is my job to create! i also bought a lovely black and white wrap dress with big huts printed on it, which i am wearing with pride right now.

we also got a baby vervet and a baby duiker (mini antelope) in this week, the vervet needs a mummy for the weekend so it was hanging onto Dom and zara today but is really friendlyand climbs everywhere so ive got some good pics of me with that, it was so adorable i wanted one! poor duiker was terrified but will be integrated with the rest of the herd after quarantine.

So thats this week, been very busy, already ran out of books but mabuya has a whole stack of them, some of which are english and they have let me borrow them at my leisure, which is great :)
