In between learning the sign language for c**ty bollocks, was amused to see a plastic green lobster and a 'benign barbie' for sale at the train station. Next stop, Nha Trang.
Spent the last few days in the cute and traditional village of Hoi An, where lo and behold, our hotel had a swimming pool! Saw the Japanese bridge and the wonderful Yaly tailors who made a killing out of us. Ate Cau Lao (when it finally arrived) and even went to a Vietnamese cookery class (no food poisoning to report). Because of the typhoon, the electricity in the village kept cutting out, plunging everything into darkness, so walking back to the hotel was interesting! Kids dressed as dragons also danced around the streets, apparently to ward off evil spirits from the storm.
