For some strange reason, the school have decided that Prep won't have school on Wednesdays for the first 4 weeks of term. This is to enable the teachers to hold one to one,one hour assessments on each child.Seemes pretty pointless for Immy as it was all about planning for the year ahead.Anyway,so she didn't feel left out,I booked an assessment for Immy.
Mrs.Mcilroy (Immy's teacher) said she did very well in the assessment but she didn't know her alphabet.Well Immy has "known" her alphabet since she was 3 so not sure what happened there-it would seem that they are not the greatest fan of phonics here and so Immy must learn the letter name as well as the phonetic sound.t out,I booked an assessment for Immy.
As we had the day "off" bar an hour,we did some reading and writing, played in the pool and just generally had a lovely time together.Peter was leaving in the afternoon so I was on school pick up duty for Evie.
immy had her assessment from 2-3pm and then we hung around till 3.30 to pick Evie up.The school has a lovely playground so Immy played there for half an hour.
