4 nights, 4 cities! Vogar, Reykjahlíth, Akureyri, and Reykjavík.
Do you like enormous mountains, crystal clear water, and friendly people? How about trees? Well, Iceland has everything but the trees, so not a bad deal!
We rented a car and drove for many hours on the Iceland expressway - its a nice two lane road with sheer drops on either side and fluffy sheep to dodge. We drove through a field of lava, how cool is that! We saw the Gates of Hell. We saw liquefied stone bubbling to the surface. We ate Viking Yogurt.
The yogurt was really the best culinary experience, though.. the food in Iceland is incredibly expensive. We paid $10 US for a 7-11 style hamburger. This was the best deal in Akureyri. Bleh! Buuuut we also had some absolutely delicious fish and chips!
Next and last stop: NYC!
