Kuala Lumpur is certainly an exotic sounding place - millions of Malays, Chinese, Indians and Indonesians all living together in a pretty modern city. Certainly the food options are plentiful and delicious! Mmmm peanut satay...
KL as a tourist destination is a strange beast - we did enjoy a few fun sights, like the deer park and the Petronas towers. But its a huge pain to traverse the city - the transit systems are haphazardly connected so one must resort often to Taxis - but the Taxi drivers we met were as surly and haggle-happy as any in Asia, despite the big yellow "No Haggling" signs someone made them stick to their cars.
I've concluded that they really just want to keep visitors in the malls, which are beautiful and gigantic. Stay in the aircon and shop shop shop!
KL was our last stop in Crazy Asia. We are honestly pretty ready for some sandwiches, müsli, and tasty beer in Germany! :)
