We crossed the border into NAMIBIA! We weren't allowed to take any photos at the border crossing- they get a bit touchy over this.

Namibia is simply wide open spaces and not many people. We drove through the Namib desert and had lunch by the side of the road again where we got to walk off into the desert.

Then we got to our first Namibian town called Bethanie. We had coffee and sent some postcards which I don't think have ever arrived! We met some Namibian kids and Doug bought some Namibian souvenir stamps. Lots of people got some Biltong but we didn't- not a big fan of the stuff. Lourens, the SA dude on the bus, let us try some of his but still not a big fan.

Then we drove to FISH RIVER CANYON which is the 2nd biggest canyon in the world. We got there to watch sunset. It was good but not as good as we had expected. However, we got to take some good pictures.

The we went and spent our first night camping under the stars of Namibia.
