Where I stayed
On the afternoon we arrived everyone was knackered from Prague so we slept most of the day away before going on a short hike (!!) to the supermarket and making a home-cooked meal with lots of veggies.
Next day was the rafting pub crawl. Sixteen of us (australians, few kiwis, and a canadian) jumped in these inflatable rafts and floated down the river for 7 hours, pulling in to riverside stops for sausages and beer
Day two saw us wander up to the castle and watch the bears in the castle moat, take in the view of the town from the castle tower, and spend time relaxing in the castle gardens, before having a look through all the winding cobblestone back streets of Cesky to see what treasures we could find. It's a really quaint little town - definitely one of our favourites so far. And as you do in all small towns, we then had another afternoon nap. Once it got dark we went for yet another walk into town to take some photos of the castle and the town at night
Today is our last day in Cesky and we're not sure what we're going to do but it probably involves a lot of eating as we need to get rid of our Czech Korunas ...
Update: So we found this amazing bookstore full of English books and bought a couple to read before having lunch on a riverside terrace in full view of the castle... what a beautiful day. We wiled away the afternoon reading our new books by the river and then headed to the town square for dinner with our busabout friends (Paul, Tom, Rachelle, Ben, Carol). We ate in a medieval cavern, ordering pork knuckles the size of our heads!!! :) life is sweet.
Rating out of 10: 9.5
In a word: Relaxing
Something interesting: The paint on the buildings and the castle - the colourful 3D effect
