On arrival at the bus station in the beautiful city of
Tacna we were escorted by our driver to a bus company office in a very dodgy looking bus station. After a bit of confusion us and the Japanese girl were put on the 8.30am bus to
Arequipa and only had to wait one hour, it later became clear that we were sold to another bus company still it wasa bus nonetheless. When the time came the bus man helped carry our bags and took us across the street to another bus station and helped us put our bags on the bus to
Arequipa. We slept all the way and were only interupted twice. First time I was asleep and was wacked on the arm by the bus man to give me my snack despite Sarah telling him I didnīt want it!!! and then again by a policeman barking passaporte to me. Me and Sarah were used to this but not the bus pulling away before we got our passports back, panic quicly set in before we learnt they were with the bus man downstairs who soon came round and handed them back, phew!!
