After sleeping through my alarm clock this morning until after 12, I was really annoyed with myself at wasting half of one of my precious days, but decided to use the afternoon to my advantage: so had very quick shower and ventured out to get some photos developed - 2 hours service, so while waiting for those, i visited the Museum of History which is rather interesting actually. Wednesdays mean free entry, so it was a cheap hour or so. It takes you through the history of Hong Kong, its development and current state and uses all sorts of multi-media.

After picking up my photos, I headed down to the MTR to get over to Central on HK Island, which cost $9, so getting the Star Ferry back, it's cheaper by far. Had a bit of a trek up to the Peak Tram Terminal: it looks so flat on the map: it's not, believe me. Got the tram up to the Peak where it was freezing cold!! But the views are amazing and i understand why it's a must-do in Hong Kong. Panoramic views all across the islands. And it's not too misty today, but would've been better in clearer weather. At least it wasn't raining anyway!

I'm trying to keep this short because i have only 10 minutes of internet time left, but planning to go over to one of the night markets tonight when i'm done here. Last night i went down to the Harbour for the nightly show of lights that they put on. There's lights on all the buildings over on HK Island and they put them on in time to the music that they play. Pity that the commentary was only in Chinese, but still was worth it anyway. I wish i had a digital camera to take photos of the Harbour by night because it's stunning, but it's all stored in my head and that'll do nicely for now. At least until i return to Hong Kong one day....5 days is just not long enough really to see everything. But, i'm going to try to fit as much as possible in tomorrow!!
