Linda prepared us the best breakfast we've had in a LONG time (and I think Larry helped!)  After seeing Larry off for work, Dennis took the motorhome into St. John's for an oil change, while the kids continued playing their games and getting to know one another.  Anna and Simone were especially pleased to see a piano and get to play for the first time in over a month!

Sandra and Linda visited and exchanged homeschool stories, information all morning long until Dennis returned and we all went for a hike along the cliffs / rocks at the back of Linda and Larry's place.  We can certainly understand why they love living in the place - even in the fog!  Actually, by now, the fog had lifted significantly, and Linda took us to a place where she had earlier spotted an iceberg.  Wills and Tyler were the first to crest the "hill" and to announce excitedly "There she is!"  We were NOT disappointed.  "She" was not a massive iceberg, but regal, nevertheless.  We all enjoyed the view for a while, took photos, watched what we're pretty sure were whales off in the distance, and then returned to Linda and Larry's home.

Then it was time for good-byes, which no one really wanted to say.  It's really amazing how quickly bonds can be made!  But onward we went - there were still places to see!  We were pleased to have a semi-clear sky for our visit to Signal Hill, since the vista from there is absolutely breath-taking - pretty much no matter which direction you look.

Wanting to be back across the other side of the province by Friday morning, we still needed to cover a lot of mileage that evening, so off we went, driving until 9:30, when we stopped at Gambo to camp for the night.
